What do you use to scoop out the icky litter in your brooder?

we are using the pine pellets so when they get wet, they turn to dust. What is the easiest way to scoop it out? I was going to go buy something but thought maybe something I have on hand would work. Or should I buy a toy scoop shovel or something?

I use a kitty litter scoop, (I have cats).

I use my dust pan works good scooping up shavings.

We found a huge dust pan that was advertised as 3 in 1. A dust pan, a bucket or a trash can. It works great.

For the brooder I use a plastic bowl, for the coop I use a litter box scooper.

. Both work very well.

thanks everyone.

I'll see if I have a small clean dustpan handy and if not, I'll use a kitty litter scoop. I thought my kids had some old beach shovels laying around but I think they all got broken.
