what do you use to weigh your chickens?

just interested in knowing what everyone uses to weigh there chickens. I'm not talking butchered weight, i'm talking how do you weigh your still living full grown large fowl?

Current method uses this balance. Birds must be calmer. Scales of this sort have short working life.

As a kid I used this under watch of my grandfather. He was already using it for nearly 60 years himself by then. Still works.

I got our scale, put it on our walkway, stood on it, then stood on it holding the bird to see how much she weighed.

I put a mealworm or two under the bathroom scales, they're glass. The birds step on and I get my answer.

I use a luggage scale and a loop of rope around their legs, hanging them upside down. I would like to get a larger food-type scale that I could set them on in a box, though.

You could use a fisherman's scale

I either use a milk/dairy scale with the metal scoop hanger or I have a really old but good baby scale don’t see those much got those from my 96 year old mother.

Might depend on why you are weighing them.
Curiosity or general weight needs much less accuracy than weighing for medicinal dosing.
I have never had the need to weigh a live bird.
