On another site I saw the Barnies from Ideal and from a breeder...big difference and it was easy for my eye to tell...but maybe there is more subtile stuff too like with the Americannas etc. Maybe we can also help push the hattacheries to improving their stock if it is needed.
Also with Marans I am learning that if the egg is not at least a 4 on the marans color egg chart then it is not a marans. how intresting. How do the eggs stack up in color?
