What do you wear on your feet, to the coop ?

My coop is not that 'nasty' either--but if I wear my good sandals out there --you can bet--they will be dusty, fill of shavings and have some chicken poo and feathers stuck to them..LOL

I wear whatever happens to be on my feet or near the back door. Usually that is either crocs or keens.

Old Navy flip flops that cost 2.00. I never wear them anywhere else. I got tired of hearing "What's that smell?"

Crocs...the real ones, but they're old. I used to receive shipping at our local Hallmark and these were what I wore to do that. Now they make great chicken shoes.

Oh and don't you just love when you wear shoes out when you've been in the coop and you've stepped on a poo and the straw gets stuck to the poo and you have this large glob of hay and poo on the bottom of your shoe? It always falls off in the most embarrassing places....

I have a DF who is almost a Chicken Scholar (LOL) who reads up and gets all the scoop and has advised me from the get go to pick one pair of shoes and always use them so that I am not tracking grocery store germs to my girls or other coop germs or for that matter carrying our germs to other coops. MINE are ugly old pair of skeetchers that I have smashed the heal down and made them slip ons....

Dairy boots. I wear them each and every time. I don't want to transfer town to my girls or my girls to town.

what ever is on my feet, including bare feet, just don't tell my husband he hates it when I don't use my old shoes, he just doesn't appreciate chicken poo
