What doe this mean?

What does broody mean

Its the way a hen acts like when she is going to set on eggs to hatch. She will puff up her feathers and growl and peck you when you try to move her from her nest. She will walk around making cluck cluck cluck sounds all puffed up. She will take offense to you disturbing her. Its the motherly instinct behavior. I hope I did ok explaining, you will know when you see them do this!!

I would say yes. I have a broody muscovy duck now. She comes out morning and night to eat and drink. Look out chickens if they come near her!! She puts her head down and runs after them!! She was hanging off the roosters tail feathers one night! He got the point!! They protect their nest and babies. She hasn't hatched yet, two more weeks.
