What does »follow« actually mean? 🦆

I’m so glad you asked this question. I as well had no idea we had a news feed.

Don't get too excited yet: Yes there is your personal newsfeed available, but you cannot configure it in a similar way like you can configure your alerts. All those »Member A reacted to Member B's post in the Thread Lorem Ipsum with Loike« notifications are flooding my news-feed, making it useless…

Let me guess: You get a notification whenever somebody you follow "reacts" to something on a thread you don't follow in a forum that you have never visited and most likely never will?
During the day, my news feed proves that Einstein was wrong: It moves forward faster than the speed of light…

I don't use the news feed or officially follow anyone, but I scan thru the new posts every day and often participate in new-to-me threads, meeting new people and learning/sharing all kinds of new stuff. I watch those threads that I'm interested in.

Following someone always seemed creepy, like stalking lol! I think I accidently followed someone here once and thought they then considered me a weirdo or maybe always thought I was a weirdo but this thread is interesting.
