When I worked in the kitchen at the local school, the third grade teacher who is now the principal and a very good one, use to bring her class in to make bread for a math project. It amazed me how patient she was, and what a mess, but those kids LOVED that bread and they ate it with butter and had a good ole' time. I love seeing the hands on projects, I think you learn so much more . . .
