What does everyone think about feeding chickens boiled eggs from the flock?

I usually give broken or really poopy eggs raw to the dogs, as I don't get too many of those. I feed back all my eggshells. The only time the chickens got eggs is when they were on a large dose of fenbendazole dewormer. I scrambled them up by the dozen and fed them back to the chickens for 4 weeks. They were quite spoiled. I have since started putting the dewormer in their feed in smaller doses for 6 days in a row, and there is no egg withdrawal.
hey on that note....are worms common in chickens? what are the common symptoms? new at this!! thanks

Every morning I have a fried egg for breakfast. Most days I also scramble one for the girls. The dog alternates between a cooked egg and a raw egg.
My husband rarely eats eggs, and I give some away. Once a month I bring devilled eggs to work.
But I figure it saves some money and provides enjoyment if I supplement everyone’s diet with “free” eggs.

My chickens LOVE boiled eggs.... I keep a few and boil them occasionally and throw them out into the run....they all come gliding through the air right above the ground, feet barely touching the ground - you all know what i mean it's so cute! i figure it's the least i can do for such hard working girls!

Is there an age preference for giving boiled eggs ? I thought I read in on thread it’s good for chicks?
Any age loves them... i think they're especially good for growing chicks, so many of mother's nutrients, etc.. i've noticed when I give my laying girls eggs, in a day or so I get a dozen eggs from 7 hens!

If a chick is struggling hard boiled egg yolk can be a good way to get some nutrition into them....if they'll eat it.

Are you saying that feeding eggs to your birds make them lay more than one egg in a day?

my chickens love their own eggs, boiled and crumbled up. It's probably their favorite food besides blueberries ! What do you all think about feeding chickens their own eggs? occasionally obviously!
Mine are 10 weeks from laying yet. I do not intend to feed them egg. For one, those are expensive eggs, considering the upfront investment I have made and I want to savor every one. I also, I know hens may peck at their freshly laid eggs and I don't want to encourage that from the beginning. They will get plenty of protein in bugs and slugs in the garden for treats on top of their regular, formulated feed.

I think maybe there's a correlation - i would have to really study to be sure, but makes metaphysical sense to me :). and physical sense. the nutrients in the eggs signal their bodies to make more? who knows

personal choice for sure! ...but boiled is different than fresh raw eggs to the chickens I think - feeding a boiled egg hasn't encouraged any type of pecking on fresh egg behavior and i've been feeding eggs to my chickens for a year. I keep chickens only as pets and i dont eat their eggs, personal choice, so i give dozens of eggs away to local senior citizens and friends but occasionally I will let my chickens have some of what they have worked so hard to produce.
