So I'm curious...if odds are pretty high that you'll end up with two dead embryos, why would you try again on purpose? I realize someone here has successfully hatched twins (tho I'm not sure if it was an accident or she set out to do so on purpose), but it sounds like odds of twins hatching successfully are quite low. Why bother when you can have healthy, happy non-twin chicks? Just asking the question, not passing judgment.
Just for experimental reasons. I can have as many non-twin chicks as I want an for a fact I have some non-twins in the incubator now.. but honestly what would it hurt to try for twin chicks? if they dont get thrown into the incubator, they'll get thrown on a frying pan. Atleast in the incubator that have somewhat of a chance. they either make it and gave a good life with me or they dont an they end up where they would have been to begin with if they would have been put in a frying pan!
