Very interesting, thanks for sharing! I think that if there's a blood ring in an egg with two embryos and one dies then the remaining embryo will eventually die since blood rings have bacteria in them and then the dead embryo starting to 'rot'/decompose (I think, I'm not an expert) that's why some eggs explode when the embryo dies, but it was worth a try

I think it may depend on how far development has gone as to if the 2nd chick can reabsorb the first. It does happen in humans and quite a few animals all the time.
 
Why does anyone even care if you try again? If they don't like the idea of it, then they shouldn't do it. If you want to keep trying for curiosity's sake, go right ahead! That's your business.

I personally would rather not keep finding dead chicks in eggs I want to hatch, but that's my personal feeling, I can totally see why you'd want to try!
