I am new to chickens and I have never seen sour crop before so I don’t really know what to look for incase my chickens ever have it. If anyone has any pictures of it can you please post them?

You wont see sour crop, but you'll certainly smell a foul odor from the chickens mouth/breath. There can be a squishy crop and might expel liquid from the mouth as well.

An impacted crop comes first - when the crop is impacted, the food can’t get down to the stomach and it ferments, which is sour crop. It smells like holy hell, and sometimes you may see liquid coming out of the beak which is a telltale sign since chickens do not vomit.
