I have one hen (Leila, an EasterEgger) that has been acting strange. Could someone please explain to me what this would be considered:
She has recently started to act very restless...and she has an odd habit, when other hens are standing next to the feeder or water container eating or drinking, that instead of going around them, she'll sort of walk under them. She actually goes up to the feeders (not needing to eat or drink) just to do this. What does this mean??? I absolutely have no idea. Maybe it's nothing at all, but I'm just curious.
Any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Is your odd little girl at the bottom of the pecking order, by some chance? Have you noticed the others chasing her around, giving her mean pecks on the head or tail?

Usually, when a chicken places its head on the ground or holding it low to the ground, it denotes submissiveness.
