what does this sound like it could be?

I hava a barred rock hen that has always been real active. I have noticed the past couple of days she has been staying away from the other hens and sits with her chest bowed out. She wont go to eat scratch like she used to. The other day she seemed to pick back up scratching and eating and yesterday she was back to neing alone. I have wormed the whole flock about 3 weeks ago so i dont think it could be worms. Could it be an impacted crop or does anyone have any other suggations? I just went out to check on her and she is acting like she is going to throw up almost like she is gaging.
. I am going to seperate her today.

Not really a lot of info to go on there, but when I'm puzzled like you are, I separate the hen from the rest and observe, until something becomes more apparent.


How old is she?
What do you feed her?
Is her crop full?
What do her droppings look like?

she is about 1 1/2 yrs. she eats laying pellets poop seems to be fine i rubbed her crop and it feels mushy. i fead her some bread with olive oil on it and she at it and then i rubbed her crop. it was mushy but she kinda felt like her throat was a little hard not sure what that could be.
