What does Valentine's Day mean to you?

It means that chocolate candy will be on sale the day after Valentine's Day.

Hadn't thought about that! and I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow too.

To me, it really is just another day. My hubby and I really don't have much money to blow on one another, or anything else for that matter, so we usually just do cards. Both daughters were at grandmas house, so we went out to dinner the other night, first time in about a year. We agreed to just say that was our V day dinner, lol. I don't like feeling obligated to "have" to do something just because its a certain day.

I will say that I do get my girls a little something, just cuz its fun. I mostly do it because my mom didn't do any of that stuff for us as a kid, which is fine. But I remember her saying how stupid it was that my girlfriend's mom got her a little gift on V day. I had always thought it was kind of nice for her mom to do that. It was something that always stuck with me, so I do it.

I love my wife every moment of every day.

Love isn't about a card, a box of candy or even a rose.

It is about me laying there at night and listening to her breath
and knowing that in her, my world is complete.

Spook

Another 'Merchant' day where fools and their money are parted. Who said you have to buy each other's love? Isn't day to day forging of relationships enough?
