They gross about $2000 a week selling to Organic Valley. Profit depends upon what's left over after buying pullets for $7.50 a pop and feeding them 4500 lbs of organic feed a week. I'm hoping I can clear $30,000 a year. $25,000 a year would pay the mortgage...

The planter in the middle of my garden ---- it's an old "bend over" aluminum ladder... since it was just taking up space in the shed, I pulled it out --- ran 2 x 4's thru the steps and screwed planter boxes to it....and now --- it's a "strawberry tree"!

FL peeps: that my friend is awesome! I think I may have to use that idea if I ever find a ladder that is unwanted!

I can add something here. Finally. LOL! We signed our paperwork yesterday. I don't have photos uploaded, but I did start a blog to follow the progress of the house as we update and make it our homestead. There's only a picture of the porch on the page now, I'll update more this weekend hopefully!

I have got ot admit, I was wondering "who the hell puts a couch on their porch?" I figured it was a southern/humid climate thing.
