What does YOUR farmhouse look like?! Post pictures here!

Here's my new house. It was my 16 year wedding anniversary present. We moved while my son was on a Student Ambassador trip to Canada last Summer. He still jokes that he's never leaving the country again in fear he won't know where home is.

When I get to it I will take a few more photos from other angles. It is falling down and unliveable. It isn't even really safe to go in. The 2nd floor is inaccessible now.

It never had electricty or running water. No indoor toilet. Just 4 rooms with a center stairwell and at one time some sort of addition on the back side.

Haha, we loved the brick too

it's a double brick constructed house, so no need for AC, it's really cool in side during the hot weather. It needs some work done, that enclosed porch is going to be toast in 25 days, we're taking the panels back out again, and making it into what would have been the original covered porch, CAN'T WAIT FOR THE DEMOLITION! Also lots to paint, and lots to sand, and that door in the brick bit is going to be taken out next year and replaced with a window like the others, and the bay window replaced with one that is more condusive to the period the house was built in.

Can't wait

plus, the barn needs renovating, ohhh I am in heaven! I'll take pictures of the underside of the house in a few weeks, you guys will SERIOUSLY die when you see it, it's unbelievable what is holding this house up.

We built on this property 2 years ago now and I don't have finished pictures in my photobucket album but here is late construction.

[Shudder] I remember that muddy mess that first spring, but it's a nice yard now.

Wow! Beautiful log house, .. is it one of the kit log houses? My dad's friend bought a loghouse kit, and his is similar to yours. He lived in a train caboose for 20 years before buying it!

Here's the 100 year old plantation home we bought in December and are trying to restore to a working farm.
