Wow what wonderful homes you all have. I bought mine in 2002 and we have 26 acres. It has valley views and river frontage. It was built between 1840 and 1890. Our abstract goes back to 1886 but we've seen hand drawn maps with our house on it. I think in the past someone was trying to make it look contemporary. We are still working on it. We hope to put a covered porch on the front and return it to a "farm house".

Aww I'm totally jealous, we have almost 9 acres, with an 1870s farmhouse, someone tried to make our house modern and contemporary as well, failing badly, they enclosed the covered porch and it was disgusting, mine is the first in the post

The picture of the barn with the rainbow could be a postcard!

I'm looking at all your wonderful houses and finally decided that I should post a picture of mine...

I do have to warn you though, I'm rather embarrassed about it after seeing all yours. It's very tiny, rather quaint really. It's a true fixer upper, needs lots of repair and work, practically falling down around us. Sorry it's in such bad shape and I still had the nerve to actually post a picture. Just remember... it's a work in progress... we figure another 20 years and about a million bucks and we'll have it looking more presentable...

Here it is...

Just kidding.... this one is really mine. It's a modular and it is really made with poor materials and is falling apart in places inside. But, we bought this place for the land, the barn and the location.

Here's my chicken coop in the building stages...

We have since turned the roof and doubled the size of the coop. But, it's not done yet so I don't have pictures of it yet. Some day.

Here's my barn, I don't have a better picture of it but it's my favorite building on our place. It's got 4 stalls plus a large room for our hay storage and where I milk my goats.

Check out the panaramic of my barn and a full rainbow on my website. My husband took a series of pics and stiched them together. Truely amazing sight. Every spring we have at least on rainbow behind our house and barn.
