What duck am I?

I have a duckling, its either roen or a mallard. He/she is almost three weeks old, in two days.

He's got a white spot on the back of his neck thats just come in with his new featherings. His new feathers are brown and black.

I wonder how can i tell what he is- or when can I tell what he is... and when or how can I tell what sex he is too...

he seems big enough to be a rouen. I had a snowy mallard and she was tiny at 3 weeks old. Much smaller than your duckie.

he is really big. He literally doubled in size over night last night. Went to bed a tiny duckling and woke up a giant.

It looks like one of my mallards. I have one with a white ring look around it's neck.

Looks like a rouen to me. Mallards only have 1 stripe on the face.

I dont think facial markings count- even on the hatchery sites some lines of both breeds have one and two stripes.

I wonder how big a mallard is as this age. Cause he seems so freaking big...

I have pics of my snowy mallard.... The only difference between a reg mallard and a snowy mallard is the coloring. They grow to the same size....

maybe its a black Muscovy? I bought some boys last year that looked just like you're, and they were HUGE...as babies and adults. Your's has big sturdy Muscovy legs too.

My mallards seem large to me, I have a adult rouen and they are almost as big as her already.
