My Muscovies get along with my chickens but they don't sleep together. The only problem most folks have with chickens and ducks is the drakes can and will try to mate with the chicken[hens] and its usually a death sentence for the hens. I haven't ever had a drake go after a chicken to try and mate, I hope it's because we have plenty of ducks for our drakes. I also think if chickens and ducks are closed up in a pen you might see this more often.

I do not have any chickens. I do have Khaki Campbells, Runners and Pekins. The Pekins are by far the most laid back and social of the bunch. The others are more high strung. They are all nice. The Pekin seem to crave human interaction more than the others. However, we raised the Pekin from day old ducks and adopted the Campbells at about 2 weeks old and the Runners at about 3 weeks old. That may play a huge factor in their attachment or lack thereof.

I have mallards and they get along great with the chickens. They have a seperate coop but they free range during the day together and eat along side each other with no problem at all

My ducks have never shown any aggression towards the chickens, that said i do not house them together.. the chickens are penned within where the ducks are but have gotten loose the odd time with the ducks so that's how i know they are okay with them.

I have a drake heavy flock though so as miss lydia that must be handled carefully.

We found that the ducks' night vision presented problems with housing with our chickens. If you house them separate I doubt you'll run into problems.

Over the last few week I have integrated me Welsh Harlequin Ducks(5) and my Dorking(4) +1 Cochin chickens together. I started by letting them be together during the day in the yard. Then over the weekend locked them up in coop (6 x 20)at the last min and out early. Now they are on there own. It is funny the ducks chase the Dorkings, but the ducks are afraid of the Cochin.
I keep my Drakes separate in my "boys only" pen.
