What even is that?? White Polish weirdness!! Help!

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I have a mixed flock and my australorp started pecking my polish ONLY the polish with a white head.. I think they can see between the feathers and are pecking the scalp thinking theres food there when there isn't.. I have separated my white headed polish from my australorp but now I worry about reintegrating them

The haircut has seemed to work for now. I still check her head every day. I don't think she experiences as severe bullying but she has new pin feathers growing in that I'm worried about.

So it's a tenuous peace. I had to separate her until everything grew completely back in. Then giving her a haircut so she could see her enemies seemed to help. I am still planning on getting more crested birds to make her seem less unique though.
