I searched 'chicken forum'. Whenever I'm interested in anything I always add forum as that is where (usually) the enthusiasts are, not writing some generic article (not always).

Forums might be a bit old fashioned compared to social media but they are far superior for me.

Yes!!!

I have the only chicken that layed where she was supposed to..... and 8 of her adopted spawn. The rest went away or were eaten.

I was new to chickens and was googling “Colombian Rocks” because I had some and wanted to see how others looked in comparison. I clicked on a media post from BYC and in the description the person had written a question about the bird/breed (can’t remember which) and I knew the answer and wanted to reply to them. I never did figure out how to comment on it (probably could now), so I never actually put in my two cents there, but I got completely hooked otherwise. I was pretty young, but also knew a lot about chickens, so I was always trying to answer questions. I also met several good friends including @MissNutmeg who was actually the very first person to welcome me, and who I became very good friends with in real life (we have gotten together a few times, and we talk everyday!)! I’ve enjoyed my time here and hope to stay long into the future
