What excercise machine to buy?

Which is better, an elliptical or a tread mill??
Not sure what the elliptical even does...

I sorta like that one where you get on your knees on the little round thing and swing your butt side to side. Don't know what it's called, but I love the commercial.

An elliptical is kind of like riding a bicycle standing up. The idea is a treadmill without the pounding on your joints. Also ellipticals have 2 sets of handles, one set moves and one set is stationary. I have an elliptical and I like it, but it has become a bit of a coat rack lately. lol! It is very smooth to use and quiet so it doesn't interfere if you want to watch TV while using it. If you are looking at an elliptical, you will need to go try them out at the store. They come in different sizes. It would not be safe for a 5 ft person to use one made for a 6 ft person and vice versa. Some are adjustable, but this option can be a bit more money.There are lots of different options to choose from. You will need to decide if it/they are comfortable for you. The owner of the store where I got mine from told me that it isn't an as intense work out, so he uses an elliptical as his second workout.

Miz Red, the best kind is the one someone else uses. That's what we have a farm for, so I don't have to take up valuable real estate in this house with a honkin' big piece of metal. I walk. Best exercise there is.
