What feed?

What do you guys use to feed your broilers? I acquired 10 broilers from a friend who ordered 100. I have organic feed for my Marans but I don't want to share a $35 bag feed with the broilers. My uncle swears by Purina Game Bird starter at 30% protein and I have seen him got some real big broilers. It's either the game bird starter @ 30% or the flock raiser at 20%.

How old are the birds? If they are day olds they may benefit from the 30%. If they are already a couple weeks old I would go with the 20%. I usually feed between 20-24% depending on the age, growth, and weather.

I use turkey and gamebird starter. Mostly because its the only non- medicated feed available here.

Go with what's cheaper, both will do a good job. Especially just for 10.
