What feeder design should I use?

My 3 chickens are now 4 months old and they're old chick feeder is too small, can anyone send pictures of some feeders I could maybe buy?

I personally use a gravity fed PVC feeder and love it! Zero waste. Here is a DIY link. I modified the inside a bit to get the feed higher and keep fresher. I know they sell these on Etsy too, if you don’t have the tools

I have 2 of these. A 15 lb and a 12 lb.
I like the 15 lb better because it's adjustable. I got it at TSC. They also have bigger sizes. GC

I use this type, as well, and we love it. I prefer to have the food hanging. It helps deter rodents. It also prevents the chickens from flinging food around.

I really like my trashcan feeder.

Of course you can use a little trashcan, or a 5 gallon bucket, or tote.

I have a similar one but with a clear tote so I can keep an eye on the food supply easily enough.

Funny thing, after trying out a handful of chicken specific feeders and waterers, I've finally gotten down to plain ole buckets of water, and pans of feed.

Starting out these kinds of feeders will work but they will also attract rats and mice, then snakes start coming in to feed on the rodents. You need to get the feed in a good treadle feeder, spring loaded door and counterweight if you don't want the mice to just push the door open. Pay close attention to the negative reviews found online, some of the most popular treadle feeders like the Grandpa or Feed o Matic have huge percentages of negative reviews and people still buy them anyway. And there is a lesson there, even these type of feeders will work before the rats and mice find your birds but they suck at actually stopping a rat infestation.
