Probably my last years Yule meal with extras. >_> So...
3 half racks of lamb rib crowns, braised in red wine and roasted
Roasted squash with wild rice and mushroom walnut stuffing (probably with truffle oil here to get fancy because someone else is paying)
Game pie stuffed with duck, elk, rabbit and wild boar (I usually use pork belly but again, we goin fancy)
Foccacia with garlic, rosemary and basil
Vegan wellingtons, stuffed with mushrooms, pecans and green beans.
A whole roast 14-20 week CX, the biggest of the year, stuffed with chorizo and potato stuffing
Mashed potatoes
Grilled asparagus and broccoli
Roasted carrots
A mirror glaze carrot cake
Cherry cobbler
butternut squash pie
Blueberry pie
vanilla bean ice cream
Nutella puff pastry trees
Home made eggnog (spiced rum to taste)
Plus wine and mead enough to last the entirety of the longest night.
Sounds about right. That's be what I'd buy and make. I think it'd be under $300 for raw ingredients.
Or if I were eating out I'd buy the Sushi Boat for 6 from our local high-end japanese restaurant with sake, bubble tea, and fried ice cream for everyone.
