Hey It's Brandon
I recently acquired 12 bantam breeds. 7 are silkies. I got them off a friend as a present, because i have been looking for silkies for ages, and couldnt find them here in wales (UK).he bought them off a breeder and forgot to ask the age. I am clueless as i have only ever had regular fowl chicks. Could You please see if you can help, as i need to know ASAP, some people are saying 6-7 weeks and need to be off heat, and others say 2, so i kept them on to be sure. I need to know if I should change them to growers as well, i havent switched just incase. If any one can tell the gender of the chicks as well that will be fab. Oh, and can I keep bantams with the others, or should i put them in a seperate run & coop? I have 16 normal fowl, and 2 khaki campbell ducks.

I will post pics of the other 5 later, i wanted to concentrate fully on the silkies.
Thanks in advance.
