What Gender and Color is my Quail?

I'm told by a prominent breeder that the dolor name is "Fawn", and is achieved by crossing pharaoh to golden. 25% of their eggs will throw this color. They can be feather-sexed like golden and pharaoh, Here are pix of my 3 week old male. I have one hen and one roo from the last hatch.
That's interesting because according to the quail calculator if you cross a Pharaoh to a Manchurian you get all Italian. And if you cross a Pharaoh to an Italian you get 50/50 Pharaoh and Italian. I would like to hatch some more of the Roux.

I might have to do a little experimenting. If I breed a Tibetan Tuxedo to a Roux I get Tibetan SF and Tibetan SF Tuxedo. I breed a Tibetan SF Tuxedo male to an Italian female I have a small chance at Italian Tuxedo, among some other interesting things.

Hi there, I'm new to all of this but here goes...! I have six quail that are now 7 weeks old. I'd like to figure out which are female. Here are the pics, please help me out.

The first three will have to be vent sexed. You can't tell by feather pattern. The last three are male. Good looking birds.

I agree :) hey what color is this then, golden, Italian or manchurian?? She's a sweet girl with hardly any spots on her chest, just a few around her collar hehe.

This picture is during a molt but she has white splashes on her chest.

When I mix this color with a pharaoh, I get a lot of "calico" (only found one other person that posted about it and it was on BYC and they called it calico).

They're beautiful but don't have sexually dimorphic plumage - no speckled chests :p

Here are two, first girl is my broody quail and second and third pictures are of a young girl with more of a gold hue showing,

The males didn't show a strong rust chest or anything to tell them apart featherswise which would have been ideal lol!

One pattern that I've noticed the "calico" stick to is this really neat "spooky face" in the 3 dark spots on their back, very noticeable with the broody quail when she was sitting on eggs all fluffed out hehe! :D

That is spooky! They are extremely pretty though. I'd call your girl an Italian but she must have some white (at least) or tuxedo in her to have the white in her chest (but I'm certainly no expert). She's a keeper for sure for making such pretty babies!
