What gender are my chicks?

Those are some huge legs!
Yeah, Wyandotte hens have relatively dainty legs, at least compared to my BO hens and the Marans. Those are really big legs you have there!

I don't know that I would give up hope on having a GLW hen yet. There is a thread entitled "5 week Golden Laced Wyandotte chick gender" in which the hen had a comb very similar to yours - her pair were confirmed. I am raising my first set of SLW and I believe that I have one of each. The female still has a pink comb, seems to become pinker when she is warm. It is noticeably flatter and lighter than her "brother's" comb, but still pinker that other breeds at that age. Good luck. P.S. I'll let you know in 12-14 wks if my "hen" starts crowing

You know I was going to say wait and see because my hen with a rose comb was also guessed overwhelmingly roo when young. Think that comb must make it tricky.

Glad you ended up with your girls :)

We have two almost five week old Golden Laced Wyandottes and two silver none of them has a comb at all, just a wide flat featherless pinkish area, however the two Goldens do not look at all alike. one has marking like the one pictured the other is far more black than golden. They al have thicker leffs than say a buff Orp or a RIR.
