We got these brown leghorns in March or so... Was wondering what gender you guys thought they were?
One of the pics is a little dark, sorry!

Partridge colors are easy to sex when you know what to look for. Adult pattern should be visible by 8 weeks old. Females will have a salmon/red/brown breast. Males will have solid black chests. The only one with a hint of black on the chest is the first one. Males and females of this breed almost look like completely different from each other in coloring.

They look like pullets. While there is a smidge of black on the first bird in the chest area, the overall color (from what can be seen - a full frontal of the birds would be better) appears to be a nice salmon.

I've never had leghorns before... But I'll check them out when I get home and see what colors I see on their chests. Thank you!

When I get home later I can take some pictures of their chests and post them here. I've never had leghorns before so I wasn't sure how to tell their gender. Most of the babies I had in the past, I posted a side view and they figured it out based on comb and such. I didn't know if leghorns were the same, but now I do. :)
Thank you!

they're all pullets. The coloring difference between males and females is a striking, in your face, obvious difference, not a subtle, have to search for it difference. Plus, Leghorn boys are not at all shy about growing combs early! Leghorn roosters have the same coloring as the classic Kellogg's rooster, pretty easy to spot.
