These are our first chicks and my 3 Marans are very different from each other. I am afraid that 2 of them are Roos, can anyone help us decide? They are about a month old

Chick#1 (Caramelita) pretty sure she is a Pullet

Chick#2 (Taco) we strongly suspect a Roo

Chick #1 and #2 together

Chick #3 (Snowy) not sure about this chick

Chick #2 and #3 seem to be picking on each other, even fighting. Chick #3 is getting the worst of it and his feathers are scragly looking. I suspect we need to get rid of on one of them, any advice?

Thanks for looking

Chick 2 and 3 are roos. Roos that are raised together usually can co-exist, but every once in a while you get dominant personalities that clash like crazy despite everything.

Just keep an eye on them. If they get too aggressive, seperate them.

I have several young cockerels, 4 to be exact, 3 are Salmon Faverolles and 1 is a Fav/Orp cross. The cross is the dominant one in the group (and a week older), but he's consistently being challenged (chest bumping, jumping up, etc) by one of the SF boys...But, so far they aren't hurting each other.. I hope it stays that way
