What gender/breed? Golden Comet??

I got what we were told were two Golden Comet pullets. They are almost 10 weeks and are developing differently although roughly the same size. Do we have a roo or a different breed? I tried to get the best pics I could.. I'm not such a great photographer and they were not in the mood to strike a pose for my photo shoot!

Here is Milly. She looks less like the golden comet pullet pics I've been seeing.

And here is Violet who looks more like what I expected.

Forgive my ignorance, I'm new to the chicken world! Does "red sexlink pullet" still mean golden comet or is that a different breed altogether?

Golden Comet is a type of Red Sexlink. Same as Cinnamon Queen, ISA Brown, Amber Links, etc. They are all the same type of bird just different names and parent stock depending on what hatchery the are from.

Red Sex Links

They just have different amounts of white, is all.
As Gray Farms said, Red Sex Links are a cross of birds, usually RIR to something like a Deleware, or SLW. There are many different breeds you can use for this cross, so that's where the different names come up. They are just a different kind of cross, but in the end, still a Red Sex Link.

Wow. I'm getting a great education from you all. Thanks for the info. So happy they are pullets, we aren't allowed to have roosters where we live and my kids are attached to them all!
