What gender is this baby chick?? [pictures]

I *think* it's a cochin, at least that would be my guess......

(or a Langshan)

What kind of logic is everyone using to make their guesses. The majority of folks said it was too early to tell, but yet we had some guesses of one or the other.

I'd like to know what kind of logic your choices are comprised of?

By randomly guessing at the sex of a chick, you may be giving the original poster a false sense of knowledge. On the other hand, if there is something that I am missing, I'd like to know so that I can better evaluate chicks in the future.

I have a tried and true method which I won't discuss with anyone. I'm a hired chick sexer and have been doing it within my own flock for 17 years.

I just have to say it's the overall head structure of the bird. You'll have to figure it out from there.

Hey guys, wow i didnt think this thread would go on for this long lol. Just to confirm to those people trying to guess the breed, its a langshan (black). Also, our camera decided to to break on us.. so i won't be able to do any head shots anytime soon..

UPDATE:
After 3 months past, we figured out its a rooster! which makes it 3 roosters in total, - going to have to give him away since we already have 2 matures roo's, and another roo that came from one of our broody chickens.
Here are a few new pics of him, he's starting to roost as well and he even pecked me - he's becoming a man lol
