What gender is this beautiful chick?

I’m so torn on whether I want to keep any of them that turn out to be roosters. The only reason I would is for protection for the ladies. I had decided if we wanted new chicks we would let them sit on a fertilized egg we purchased. I don’t know, I don’t think I want a rooster…..

I bet I can. Let me look through my recent pictures. I also want to show a picture of a EE from the same hatchery that looks just like this one and I’m assuming it’s a hen.

Is this the same chick as the original one in question? If not this one and the original one are both cockerels.

Protection with the sense that the male will stand between the females and the predator just leads to a dead male. Alerting is another story
