what gender is this 'hen'??

Hi! im after some help with gender (and maybe breed) of this darker chicken! Its about 20 weeks old (we got them 14 weeks ago and told they were 5-6 wks old with the lighter one being a bit younger than the darker one at the time. Im having doubts that the darker one is a hen! I havent heard any crowing and theres not a big red comb (although maybe they dont need to be big??) but the dark tail feathers have me worried! So its either a cockerel isa brown?? (which is what we were told they were...) or its not an isa brown and to be honest i have no idea! (first chickens!) any help would be appreciated! obviously no eggs yet... (from either of them actually)
