What Gender is this Marans?

I have 4 black copper marans and your chickens looks just like mine did at 5 months. And mine are all ladies.

My guess is a girl. I have a bunch of marans, also 5 months old, and all the roos have RAGING hormones. Can definately tell by now who is going bye-bye. She looks sweet!

By 4 months those roos are so randy you can't help but pitty any hen around and close your ears, too, so you would KNOW if it was a hen. Our hens started laying at 6 months so start the countdown!

so we got her today and i dont have much experience with this breed. are they supose to be tiny ?

my black copper marans alot of my pullets looked rooish to me at 5 months and then they started laying i vote pullet.

Either it's a bantam, or they lied about the age and it is a young roo.

AT 5 months I say Pullet, my 6 week olds I can definetly tell the roos..... just holding out hope that I am wrong on a couple.
