What Gender is this Salmon Faverolle ?

It is looking female right now. If you see any dark feathers coming in on the wings, and especially the chest, then you need to wonder.

For most breeds you can post pictures on here at 6 to 8 weeks, and folks in here should be able to tell male or female based on comb size and color. Silkies and Polish tend to take much longer, though.

Okay thats great! I'll wait a couple more weeks for the rest then. I have 2 salmon faverolles, 2 slikies, 2 black copper marans, 2 blue laced red wyandotte, and 2 cream crested legbars that are female (hopefully)

Comb is usually what I go by unless I specifically know what I ordered.

12-24 weeks so 3-6 months I can begin to tell the sex. Was this a mix of male, female when you got them?

For favorolles or chicks on general?
Gender should be obvious by 9 weeks for 98% of chickens.

That's a boy, and I would have guessed boy based on these pictures:

I was told you are able to sex Salmon Faverolles based on colour from a young age. This chick is 2.5 weeks old. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Salmon Faverolles can be sexed much earlier than other breeds. I will look for some pictures of mine and show you how/why.

Pretty boy! I have a Faverolle roo named Petoski who is just a bit older than your boy. So far I believe my boy is the most docile rooster I’ve ever had! Good luck with him!
