Then she does not have male specific color leakage and saddle feathers. That cockerel does, which is what tells us he is indeed a boy.

You are right, they do have similar combs and faces, but they are different genders. I understand why you would think your new bird is a like her based on this only. The key is your new birds coloring and saddle feathers, which means he is a male.
