What gender??

Hello!
We’ve had a silkie mixed with who knows what for around 6 months now. I’ve been assuming it’s a pullet since she had no wattle or comb growth or reddening. It also doesn’t have the obvious rooster tail.
I’ve also never seen it do any tidbitting or take any interest in hens. But here’s the kicker! Apparently it crowed yesterday! I know this should be a dead giveaway that it’s a boy but I still wonder...

Sorry, but I think I see saddle feathers, and they are shiny and pointy. Sorry! But he is handsome

This one is really tough. The silver hackle and saddle feathers look to be pointed, but the comb and wattles are pullet like. I’m leaning cockerel on this one, but you may have to wait for it to crow or lay an egg to be sure.

I'm fairly certain that's a cockerel. The tail looks masculine and the coloring is very much rooster like.

He is stunning! If I were naming him, I'd call him Lucifer because he looks a little mischievous and scary.

Also, silkie roos have like a deep purple comb instead of red.

Agreeing with cockerel. Those pointy saddle feathers are just too masculine to be pullet. Also, silkie and silkie-mixes can be hard to tell gender with just combs alone, because silkie males don't get the super-obvious bright large combs like other breeds. So I'm betting on cockerel. Also, he's STUNNING.

Definitely a cockerel! Pointy, silver saddle feathers are a dead giveaway!
