I came home tonight to find my RIR hen laying beside the coop with blood dripping from the back of her head, right behind her comb. She wouldn't open her left eye, so I couldn't tell if it was intact or not. No other obvious physical injuries. I tried to give her some water, but she wouldn't drink. Put her in the nesting box to let her rest and keep her safe. I just went back out to shut the coop door and she was dead. [IMG] Do you think this could be from my rooster?? I have ten hens, 1 full size EE roo (was supposed to have been a pullet) and 2 bantam roos.
