What goes good with Silkie Chickens?

I have Bantam Cochins and they do great. My Bantam Brahmas tend to stay by themselves.

I was just thinking the same thing!


My silkie flock is a mixed flock with silkies, a nankin (smaller than the silkies), an easter egger and a huge blind Partridge Rock rooster. I have found that the key to adding LF to my silkie flock is to put them in right about the time they are the same size as the silkies, maybe just a tad bit smaller but not much. Of course my easter egger was the lowest on the totem pole when she was with the laying flock and well the Rock Rooster is completely blind. The big bully in the flock is the little nankin who loves nothing better than to "ankle bite" the blind rooster, preferably if she can get another hen in trouble....
