What goes on in hatcheries

OMG! It looks as if they treat the little chicks as something other than living animals! They don't seemed harmed though, but it still is wierd.

They really do throw the little chickies around.

It's why I really like hatching my own or getting them from a breeder that hatches them.

I would LOVE to see our little group grow to a million members and put those nasty hatcheries out of business. I would like stricter laws regarding inhumane. Probably won't happen in my life time.

one thing I liked about the video was seeing how to feather sex my chickies

but it makes me mad how rough they treat them.

Wow they do throw/toss them around a lot ........... but they don't seem any worse for wear when the process is finished..... would never buy from a hatchery though........ or work in one as I would have to resuce them all!!

Well the chicks seem to do just fine with it so it doesn't bother me a bit. Just shows that they are a bit tougher than ya think. I wouldn't have a problem at all with ordering from a hatchery.
