What got my half and half? GRAPHIC

Our RIR, half and half was found in the driveway. No feathers were found, and no blood anywhere. I am assuming a hawk? New to chicken raising, and thought I would see your thoughts.

Sorry for your loss. Hope you figure out what did it. My guess would be a dog. They can grab a bird and shake it, killing it without leaving a mess.

Thank you for your response. I had thought a dog at first, but then noticed the neck was torn. I did note a hawk in the tree near by, and another one of our chickens, Sunchip has gone missing as well No more total free range for these ladies, at least not for a while!

Looks like Hawk feeding behavior to me

Its hard to tell, but looks like a hawk gave her the grip of death, and was spooked away leaving the poor chicken there.

It was probably a bird of prey.
