What grass should I grow for my chickens?

I need some advice here about grass. I want to grow some grass for my chickens to graze but I don't know what is safe for them to scratch around and eat. So please any info will help at this point. I want to get started as soon as possible.

I don't grow anything yet- but I know people who grow wheat grass and flax grass for their chickens.

My geese and ducks like oat plants. The blade is wide and juicy and easy to break into bits.

They won't touch cheat grass (not that anyone would deliberately plant that stuff). Any pasture grass would be good. I plant orchard grass because it has a good protein content.
