what grows in alaska?

Ok I hope this is the right place to share this. this is the first year I have had any success in growing a garden. it has been a magnificent year so far.... I wanted to share a pic of my 1 month old cukes!!! I planted them in the begining of june so they are more like 5 week olds!!!

Hasn't it been unusually hot there this year? I know some people up there grow these unbelievably monstrous cabbages. Have they been hit by the heat this year?

We're near Boston MA. It's been unseasonably chilly so far. My cuke and squash plants are only 8" long! No flowers yet. My poor tomato plants are only a foot tall. The peas did great though. Plants are 8 feet tall!

its been warm here and even on the cooler 60 degree days its still nice! its only the second year I did a garden and the first cukes. next year I will have a greenhouse so I will be able to grow more!!!
