What happened to the blood veins in the eggs?

Here see how the Shell is more at an angle? the back is up against the cup. so that his belly button is facing up and this will help the yolk go inside..

slant Biggy's shell some, so that he's kind of at an angle that should help level his head more.

Ok They are propped up better... Smiles kept wanting her beak back in the shell..lol.. I took her beak out and she just kept putting it back in there!

Let me clean my baby chicks cage and feed my guinea pigs and Ill get back on to check on things.

ok I need to do the same thing. My other ducks are still outside...I have to put them back in their pen for the night and I have a bunny that needs a clean cage too!

So they are on Day 10 of incubation now, right? If the blood vessels have disappeared, that means those embryos have died. I'm sorry. :/

When an embryo dies, the blood vessels shrink up into the embryo. That's how they seem to disappear. But if you still have more eggs left that still have visible blood vessels, that is great! Good luck with those ones, and sorry the others didn't make it.

Orca...this seems like a lifetime ago....

??? is this what you had first started out at??

Yes it is..this was from my very first post...when I had the whole homemade incubator thing going on and a bunch of infertile eggs and early passers..Those were heartbreaking days. It seems like a year ago..lol.. I am glad you are up with me! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! Everyone else.. including ALL the ducklings are all sleeping...except my 8 year old daughter of course..she never goes to bed..lol

HAHAHHA kids are like that, LOL, I usually crash around 2 or 3 in the morning. Thanks to Monsters it keeps me awake at work. LOL

My daughter was a late comer...I have sons in their 20's! Being a mom to a girl and being a mom in my early 40's is a ton different than when I was in my early 20's.. I am just TIRED these days. Oh I was going to tell you that we got a new HUGE tote for the babies. Paris Rocky and Pumpkin are loving it in there. I also got a shallow smaller tote and those puddle pads to feed them in. I put the pad in the bottom and their food and water bowl in there so they don't slop up their bed so badly. They still poop more than my dogs do but at least it isn't AS bad...and it is a clear tote so we can see them ..I also got a heating lamp but it doesn't have a heating bulb in it. I thought 250W was a little too hot! Right now they are sleeping at the far end of the tote away from the light and they seem to love it. For the bedding tote I put 2 pads in the bottom and covered the pads with aspen wood chips...

AND ..little pumpkin thinks that Paris is it's Momma...Pumpkin is always under her feet. But I think that Paris and Rocky are going to match up for life. They all sleep in a big pile!
