Hello, anyone and everyone!
I had a hen go broody with only four eggs. I moved her to the broody hen apartment we had set up for just such an occasion, where she continued sitting for the next ten days. We decided to candle the eggs to see how (and if) they were coming along, only to find that two were completely gone, one had been pushed aside to get cold, and the hen was sitting only on the lone remaining egg. We candled that egg, and it looks fine, but I'm wondering what could have happened to the two missing eggs?
The rest of our small flock has no access to her pen, and we witnessed her turning the eggs (at least that looked like what she was doing) only a week ago. This is our first broody experience, so any information will be much appreciated.
Thanks
