There are a lot of people who will necropsy their birds. Mostly, we're a pretty understanding bunch. If you are intentionally being offensive, that's one thing - but discussing a necropsy is not that. If someone chooses to be offended by that... well sometimes people are just looking for a reason to get upset and you can't help that. I wish you well with the rest of your chickens.

Nutra-drench. Thank you @CapricornFarm You can give a drop oral or put it under their wings and it will absorb that way as well.

Del's have been out of Nutri Drench for several months, haven't checked lately. You may want to check Miranda's although I didn't see it on the shelf the other day I was there. You may want to order from Amazon, or think Rooster Booster Poultry Cell may work. It's probably due to the stress of shipping .... a friend ordered and lost more than half her order On her replacement shipment, she lost alot more.

I do start my chicks off with unfiltered ACV (1T/gal), some say it works, some don't believe it helps however, I've found it helps with pasty butt. Since I started FF I don't do the ACV in the water anymore. Found that with the heat/humidity we have here on the Island, it grows black mold even when I change water every day

Hey! Thanks so much. I don't get to Hilo much these days so I'll prob have to check the feed store here or in Paauilo, or get online. So the ACV grows black mold?

I'm in Florida and on well water. I found ACV made my waterers slimy and the birds didn't want to drink it. I stopped using it a long time ago. I don't put anything in the water that might put them off it, I just clean them daily and give them plain fresh water. Especially in the heat and humidity of summer I don't want them not drinking. Some people swear by it, I would do what works for you and your birds.

I've found that black spots grow along the sides of my waterer, scrubs off but I use the Horizontal Water Nipple & don't want to have it accumulating in it. I've been advised since I'm fermenting their feed, it's not necessary to do the ACV in the water.

Great to know. I'm just using a small quart size waterer at this point and changing water twice a day. I'm interested in learning more about different types of waterers and vermin-proof feeders so maybe that's another post, or just a whole lot of reading. Good to know though, that there are BI people here I can consult with!
