I have gotten a few of those. I wont eat them but I do feed them to the dog.

My girls are still kind of young and I've had a couple like that.

I've had some like that. Not only will beginning layers do it, ones that have been stressed can too!

When our girls first started laying we got a few like that...someone once stood on one and was wearing it like a slipper

I had the sqiushy egg still on the counter when DH came home ( I was so busy playing with my newly hatched ducklings I forgot to tell him it was there ) I came out of the spare room to find him in the kitchen poking it !! He gave me this look of what the H*** happened here LOL I told him everything everyelse had said -- all he said was there is no way he would ever eat an egg like that - not going to happen !! so i put it in the frig and I will mix in some oatmeal for the brooder babies later today sometime.
