What happened to this egg?

Sorry about the bad pic...there is a very odd line straight though the center of the egg. It was under a hen, btw.

I don't exactly know how old the egg is or anythinkg else. I just know it was under my bantam. Is the egg dead?

It looks like it probably rotted. I'm sure it's a dud, no healthy egg should look that way.
