What happened???

My royal palm Tom was acting fine until I went to feed him. Even then he was fine till I went into change their water. All of the sudden he starts weezing turning purple and staggering around. I picked him up and pushed around on his craw and it felt full of air. He ended up dying about 10 min later. The only thing I could think of that was different is I gave the sunflower seeds as a treat mixed with the cracked corn and layer feed. Any help would be appreceated. If I need to start salmet or wazen (sp?). I have it on hand each pair of turkeys are seperated into breeding pairs and I still have the hen alone Thanks crystal

My tom huffs his food down an chokes from time to time... Sounds like yours choked to me too...
I was just reading the latest Hobby Farms Home Magazine (I get it at TSC)
there was an article on turkey raising and she mentioned a turkey choking on a tomaoe... she shoved her hand down its throat and dug out the tomatoe.... save him.
Her were Bourbon Reds...

That is a tuff way to lose a bird. Hopefully he had already bred your hen and she will still lay some eggs and you can get some poults of his.
